Low. Strong. Ready for anything. The Oxtail evolved — stripped down to a wide-open deck, a rear dovetail, a short ramp gate, and a built-in front wheel chock. Nothing you don't need. Everything you do.

The Oxtail Sport is the Silver Ox 7×14 stripped to what actually earns its place on a trailer: a wide-open deck, a rear dovetail, a short ramp gate you can lift with one hand, and a built-in front wheel stop.
Side rails decide for you where the load goes on and where it comes off. This deck has none. Walk a mower on from the side, slide lumber across, set a pallet on with a forklift, or strap from any point along the frame instead of working around a rail. The perimeter is open the whole way around — tie-down points everywhere rather than only where a rail let you reach.
The rear of the deck slopes down to meet the ground side of the ramp, so the climb starts gentler than the deck height alone would allow. Low-clearance loads — a zero-turn deck, a road bike, a low-slung car dolly load — stop scraping at the transition. It's built into the deck rather than bolted on.
The dovetail pays back the load angle, so the ramp does not have to be long to be usable. A shorter gate is a lighter gate — raise and lower it without a fight at the end of a long day. Standing upright it also presents far less sail area behind the truck than a full-height ramp, so it tows quieter and burns less fuel.
A raised aluminum wheel stop is welded into the front of the deck. Drive a mower, an ATV, or a motorcycle forward until the front wheel seats in it and the load is positioned and stopped before you ever pick up a strap. No blocks, no guessing where the balance point was last time.
Frame, fenders, dovetail, and ramp are aluminum — no rust, no rot, no repainting, and Michigan road salt does not touch it. The treated wood deck takes the abuse and the aluminum takes the weather. On a single 3,500 lb axle with 15″ radials, the empty weight stays low enough that a half-ton truck, an SUV, or a mid-size pickup tows it comfortably.
Light enough for a half-ton truck, an SUV, or a mid-size pickup to tow comfortably — every day, not just on tow-rig days.
Lawn and landscape crews, ATVs and side-by-sides, motorcycles, dirt bikes, pallets and job-site materials, firewood — anything you'd rather drive on than winch on. It's the everyday 7×14 for people who load fast, load often, and don't want a rail in the way.
